Chapter 2 – Unexpected Visitors

Nigel and the rest promptly arrived at Numbuh Infinity’s office. Jazlyn and the rest waited outside for Nigel while he went in.

Numbuh Infinity’s office was swanky, and Numbuh Infinity himself sat in his chair, looking at the scenery outside his office through his glass panel windows.

“Ah, Numbuh 1, you’ve arrived.” Numbuh Infinity proclaimed. “There’s someone who wants to meet you.” Swiveling around in his chair, he looked Nigel in the eye.

A young American girl with shoulder-length blonde hair stepped out of the shadows, followed by a short, Australian boy with blonde bowl-cut hair, an African-American girl with a red cap and thick braid, a chubby American kid in goggles and a pilot hat with a number ‘2’ on it and lastly, an Asian girl in an oversized green sweater. Nigel’s jaw dropped almost instantly.

“Guys?!” Nigel grinned, his eyes shining brightly.

“Numbuh 1!” Nigel’s old teammates flung themselves at him in a bone-crushing hug.

Nigel was all smiles. “How did…how did you get here?”

“Well, I was sketching out a blueprint for a new spacecraft that could go out further into space, even further than Pluto, and after I constructed it as per my blueprint draft and took it on a trial drive, I realized that it worked and then I told 362 and the rest to hop onboard and travel in the pursue of you! After searching for around two weeks, we spotted this oddly-colored giant treehouse that I presume that was the GKND base, then we got this transmission from this weirdly-colored alien that ordered us to land and then they tried to identify us and then Numbuh Infinity took us here and said he’ll get someone to come and meet you and then-Mmph!!!” Numbuh 2 blabbered on and on, but was cut off when Numbuh 5 slapped her hand over his mouth.

“Boy, if Numbuh 5 didn’t stop ya, you would have gone on infinitely!” Numbuh 5 released her hand from Hoagie’s mouth.

“Well  sorry, I had to tell someone about my invention,” Hoagie rolled his eyes at Numbuh 5.

Kuki giggled and hugged Numbuh 1 in one of her death-grip hugs. “We missed you so much Numbuh 1!” Nigel’s face started to drain of color, his eyes bulged and he started gasping for air. “Ku-Kuki, l-let go of me.”

“Oops, sorry,” Kuki giggled and let go of Numbuh 1.

“Well, look who we have here.” Jazlyn, Lurina and Nebulos stood at the entrance of the office. “Forgot about us, Nigel?”

Kuki squealed with delight at seeing the three aliens and ran towards them excitedly and gave them another of her hugs. “You guys are so ADORABLE!” Nigel let out a shaky laugh and replied, “Of course not. Hey, why don’t we give Sector V a tour of the GKND base? Just like what you three did for me.”

“Fine with me, let’s go buddy!” Nebulos hopped up and climbed the rest of the way onto Numbuh 1’s head. “I’ll drive!”

“’Ey, Numbuh 1. Ya sure have interesting squirts,” Wally smirked. “What’s your name, Shorty?”

“Nebulos,” Nebulos replied. “The other two are Jazlyn and Lurina, Lurina’s the shorter one.”

“Well come on, guys, let’s go!” Nigel walked out of the room and indicated for his old and new team to follow him.
